Privacy
Last updated: 10 October 2026
This notice covers the barglabs.ai website and the Cejel and Dunstan tools, including their plugins for Claude. Dunstan’s hosted service is not offered yet; it will have its own notice before it is.
Who we are
Barg Labs Inc., a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada (“Barg Labs”, “we”), runs barglabs.ai and publishes Cejel and Dunstan as open-source software. For privacy questions, write to legal@barglabs.ai.
The short version
- Cejel and Dunstan run on your own computer or in your own CI. They send nothing to Barg Labs. We collect no telemetry, usage data or analytics from them, and they need no account with us.
- This website uses no cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
This website
- Server logs. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes the technical data needed to deliver pages and keep the site secure: your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser’s user agent. Vercel keeps these logs for a short period under its own policy.
- Your theme choice (light or dark) is stored only in your own browser so the site remembers it. It is never sent to us. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes it.
- The site has no forms. You contact us by email.
Cejel
- Cejel reads the repository you point it at, on your machine, and scores it there.
- It makes no network calls while scoring, and it never sends your code, results or usage data to us or to anyone else.
- As an MCP server or Claude plugin, it writes no files. It keeps the result of your last scan in memory until the session ends.
Dunstan
- Dunstan checks the claims in a coding agent’s report against your repository’s record on GitHub.
- To do that, it reads pull request metadata, such as commits, changed-file paths, check runs and deployments, directly from GitHub, using a GitHub token you provide (or anonymously for public repositories).
- Those requests go from your machine to GitHub, not through Barg Labs. GitHub’s own terms and privacy statement apply to them.
- Dunstan writes a record to disk only where you tell it to, and never changes your repository or anything on GitHub. We recommend a fine-grained, read-only token limited to the repositories you want checked.
When you use them inside Claude
If you install the Cejel or Dunstan plugin in Claude, Claude sends the tool its inputs and receives its output as part of your conversation. That conversation is processed by Anthropic under your agreement with Anthropic, not by Barg Labs. We do not receive it.
Downloads
Installing or running the tools fetches them from package and code hosts such as npm, GitHub and the GitHub Container Registry. Those hosts process your request under their own terms and privacy notices.
If you contact us
- If you email us, we receive your address, your name if you give it, and your message. We use it only to reply and to handle what you asked for, and we keep it for as long as the conversation is active and for up to 24 months after it ends.
- If you open a GitHub issue, what you write is public on GitHub. Do not include credentials, proprietary code or personal data.
We rely on our legitimate interest in running and securing this site and in answering the people who write to us, and in Canada on your consent, implied when you contact us, limited to that purpose.
Who else processes it
- Vercel Inc. hosts this site, under its data processing addendum.
- Fastmail Pty Ltd provides our email.
Your rights
We hold no personal data from your use of the tools. For anything you have sent us, you can ask for access, correction or deletion, and you can object to or restrict how we use it, by writing to legal@barglabs.ai. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK (ico.org.uk), the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca).
Changes
If a future version of either tool ever sends data anywhere other than where you point it, we will say so in its release notes and update this notice first. Other changes are posted here with a new date.
