Terms of use
Last updated: 10 October 2026
1. Who and what
These terms are between you and Barg Labs Inc., a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada (“Barg Labs”, “we”). They apply when you install or use Cejel or Dunstan, including as plugins for Claude, and when you use the pages that describe them.
2. The licence comes first
- Cejel and Dunstan are open-source software. Your rights to use, copy, change and share the code come from its licence: the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 only, and for Dunstan’s claim-format specification, schemas and examples, the Apache License 2.0.
- Nothing in these terms limits the rights those licences give you. If these terms and a licence conflict, the licence wins.
3. What the results mean
- A Cejel score or certificate is an automated, deterministic reading of what is present in a repository at the moment of the scan. A Dunstan verdict is an automated comparison between what an agent declared and what the repository’s record shows.
- They are evidence for your own judgment. They are not an audit, a certification, a security assessment, legal or compliance advice, or a guarantee that code is correct, secure or fit for any purpose.
- A high score or a pass does not mean there are no defects. A verdict that a claim could not be verified means the record could not settle the claim, not that the claim is false.
- You are responsible for the decisions you make using the results, including whether to merge, deploy or rely on code.
4. Your use
- Point the tools only at code and repositories you are allowed to access.
- When Dunstan uses a GitHub token you provide, your use of GitHub stays subject to GitHub’s terms. Use a token with the narrowest access that works.
- Do not use the tools, or the names Cejel and Dunstan, to suggest that Barg Labs has reviewed, certified or endorsed your code, product or organisation.
5. Names and badges
- “Cejel”, “Dunstan” and “Barg Labs”, and their logos, are Barg Labs’ names.
- You may display a badge or certificate the tool generated for your own repository, as long as it is unaltered and shows the version and date it came from. You may refer to the tools by name to describe them accurately.
- The open-source licences do not grant rights to the names or logos.
6. No warranty
The tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, as their licences also state. We do not promise that they will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that a result will be correct for your repository.
7. Limits on our liability
- To the extent the law allows, Barg Labs is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, data, revenue or goodwill, arising from the tools or their results.
- Our total liability to you for anything connected with the free tools is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for them and C$100.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
8. Claude and other platforms
If you use the tools through Claude or any other platform, that platform’s own terms also apply to your use of the platform. Anthropic is not responsible for Cejel or Dunstan, and Barg Labs is not responsible for Claude.
9. Privacy
How the tools handle data is set out in our privacy notice. In short, the self-run tools send nothing to Barg Labs.
10. Changes and ending
We may update these terms and will post the new version here with a new date. You can stop using the tools at any time by uninstalling them.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction, except where your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
12. Contact
Legal questions: legal@barglabs.ai. Support for the tools: GitHub issues on BargLabs/cejel and BargLabs/dunstan, or team@barglabs.ai.
